Dhaka: Mentioning that BNP will unleash violence  just from 3-4 days before the election and circulate huge money to bring the results in their favour, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday urged the country’s people to remain alert in this regard.

‘BNP is hatching conspiracies. Today, we got news that they’re printing fake ballot papers. Just 3-4 days before the election, they’ll unleash terrorism. And they’re planning to bring the election results in their favour circulating huge money,’ she said while addressing an election rally in Pirojpur through videoconferencing from her residence Shuda Sadan in the capital, reports the UNB.

Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, addressed three other election rallies held in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Brahmanbaria through videoconferencing from the same place.

Addressing the Cox’s Bazar rally, Sheikh Hasina said though BNP is not there in the election campaign now, it is conspiring against the election. ‘BNP has no election campaign, but they’re hatching conspiracies. There’s no doubt about it,’ she said, adding that BNP leaders and activists possess thousands of crores of Taka.

Pointing at BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, the Prime Minister said an identified ‘great thief and killer’ is hatching conspiracies staying in London and his associates are also doing the same here. ‘There’s no doubt that they’ve an ill-motive (regarding election),’ she added.

About AL candidate for Cox’s Bazar-3 Shaimum Sarwar Kamal’s remarks that they detained three BNP men with fake ballot papers in Cox’s Bazar, the AL president said the people will have to find out the press from where BNP men are printing those.

She said the BNP-Jamaat clique will unleash arson terrorism as it is their habit, urging her party leaders and activists and people to be alert and resist this.

The Prime Minister also urged voters of 29 constituencies of the four districts to cast their votes in favour of AL and AL-led Grand Alliance contenders for the continuation of her government to keep up the ongoing development pace.
