Dhaka: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda said voters will get back their confidence with the deployment of army ahead of the 11th parliamentary election.

‘I think, people will get back their confidence through army deployment. The main aim of deploying army is to improve confidence among people,’ he said.

The CEC came up with the remarks on Monday while visiting a workshop on EVM use at Dhaka Residential Model School and College, reports the UNB.

The CEC said presence of army will help the EC to hold a fair election. ‘I believe unexpected situation will be controlled from now.’
