Munshiganj: A truck loaded with 60 barrels of oil was looted from the Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Gazaria in Munshiganj on early Friday.

The driver of the truck, Abdul Khalek, around 38, and his helper Azharuddin, around 32, were found unconscious and admitted to Gazaria health complex.

Gazaria Police Station Sub-Inspecter Ilius Hosen said, the Nayagaon bound oil-loaded truck (Dhaka Metro-14-4760) was looted on early Friday by some armed miscreants.

During this incident, the driver and his helper were forcefully made unconscious by drugs.

They were admitted to the health complex after being rescued from the Anarpura area of Gazaria in the morning.
