Dhaka: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a woman and seized 12 bars of gold worth around Tk 50 lakh from her possession at Dhaka’s Abdullahpur bus-stand on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-1 led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammad Najibul Hasan Rajib conducted a special drive at the bus-stand area and seized the gold bars and arrested the woman, according to a press release of RAB.

The arrested woman was identified as Parul Begum, 37, wife of Zakir Hossain of Barguna.
