Cumilla: A court here on Monday deferred until January 16 the hearing on charge-framing and a bail petition filed by BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a murder case filed over the killing of eight people in an arson attack on a bus here in 2015, reports the UNB.

Acting Additional District and Session’s Judge Habibur Rahman passed the order, said public prosecutor Advocate Mostafizur Rahman Liton.

Eight people were killed and at least 20 others injured in a petrol bomb attack on a bus at Jogmohanpur in Chouddagram upazila on February 3, 2015 during the BNP-led alliance’s movement.

Two cases were filed against Khaleda Zia in this connection.
