Bagerhat: Police recovered the throat-silt body of a day labourer from a paddy field at Altiburuj Baria village in Morelganj upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kabul Mollah, 45, son of Goffar Mollah, reports the UNB.

Victim’s wife Nasima Begum said that her husband remained missing since he went out of house around 8pm on Sunday following a phone call.

Locals spotted the body at the paddy field in the morning and informed police, said K M Azizul Islam, officer-in-charge of Morelganj Police Station.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
