37th BCS exam circular issued

Dhaka: Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued the circular for 37th BCS examinations.
The BPSC issued the job advertisement on its website on Monday (29 February) for a total of 1226 vacant posts for general, technical, and professional cadres.
Through the 37th BCS exams, the PSC will recruit against 465 posts in general cadre, 537 in professional/technical cadre and 224 in education cadre.
Application process for the preliminary test will start on 31 March 2016 and continue till 2 May 2016.
Preliminary exam is likely to be held in July this year, according to the notification which also says that the exact date of exam will be notified later.
Application process will be the same as the previous BCS exams.
Applicants can apply online filling BPSC Form 1 on the institution’s website or Teletalk’s website within the mentioned timeframe.
Preliminary test will be of 200 marks, a new trend that was first introduced in the earlier 35th BCS.
Besides, the syllabus for the previous BCS will be applicable for the 37th.
In line with the government’s attempt to hold BCS exams on regular basis, advertisement for 37th BCS came shortly after the preliminary test for the 36th held on 8 January 2016.
