Kurigram: Police recovered the body of a college student from Kamarpara village in the municipality area of district town on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 20, an HSC first year student of Collectorate School and College in the district town and son of Abdul Hossain of the village.  He used to live with his sister’s family, reports the UNB.

Sub-Inspector Jamiul Islam of Sadar Police Station, said Habibur’s hands and legs were found tied up and there were stab injuries on his abdomen.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Mahfuzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

Police also recovered a moneybag and two mobiles phones from the spot, the OC added.

Meanwhile, Kurigram Deputy Commissioner Sultana Parveen visited the spot.
