Rajshahi: Local office of Department of National Consumers Rights Protection (DNCRP), in separate drives, fined five consumers shops Taka 30,000 in different markets in Rajshahi on Tuesday.

A team of the DNCRP, led by its Assistant Director Apurba Adhikary, conducted the drives in Charghat Bazar and found the shops possessing and selling substandard, unhygienic and unhealthy foods, a DNCRP release said.

The team fined the shops and realized the fined money on the spot and destroying huge date expired and junk foods.
