Dhaka: Education Minister Dipu Moni on Sunday said that the government will take all necessary measures to improve the standard of education in the country.

‘I will do whatever necessary to improve the education system. Another issue is standard of education which I’m giving the utmost priority and have taken it as a challenge to enhance its quality’, she said, reports the UNB.

The minister came up with the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a programme organised by Bangladesh Education Reporters Forum at National Academy for Educational Management (Naem) auditorium in New Market area.

‘No corruption will be tolerated in the education sector. All departments concerned were given warning in this regard. Besides, measures will be taken to remove all kinds of mismanagement,’ she said.

Former vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka AAMS Arefin Siddique presided over the programme where Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain, Technical and Madrasah Education Division secretary Md Alamgir were, among others, present.
