Chattogram: At least three people were killed and two minor boys sustained injuries when their microbus burst into flames after being hit by a covered van in Mirsharai upazila on Tuesday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known yet, reports the UNB.

Md Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defence, said that the Chattogram-bound microbus from Noakhali burst into flames when the covered van hit it and dragged it to some distance around 7:00am.

On information, a fire-fighting team rushed in and recovered the three bodies from the microbus and rescued two injured minor boys—Rony, 12 and Rasel, 10.
