Chattogram: Three children drowned in a pond at Kanai Madari in Chandanish upazila on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Shifatul Islam Abir, 6, son of Helal Uddin, Mohamamd Ifti, 4 and Mohammad Arial, 4, son of Joynal Abedin, reports the UNB.

Alauddin, assistant sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital police outpost, said the three children slipped into the pond while playing and drowned.

Later, they were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared them dead.
