Biman aircraft that faced hijacking bid to resume flights: Secy

Dhaka: The aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines which faced ‘hijacking bid’ will resume flight within the next 8-10 days, said Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md. Mohibul Haque on Wednesday, reports the UNB.
There have been minor damages in the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, including two bullet marks and a small damage in its switch board, said the secretary.
The damages caused to it will be repaired and the aircraft will be added to the fleet as soon as possible, he said.
The aircraft made an emergency landing at Chattogram airport on Sunday after ‘hijacker’ Polash allegedly attempted to hijack it.
Later, he was killed in an eight-minute operation by the members of army para commando unit.
