Fire at Bhashantek slum in Dhaka

Dhaka: A fire which broke out at a slum in city’s Bhashantek area early Thursday has been doused.
No causality was reported till filling of this report around 8:30am, said Ataur Rahman, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense control room here, reports the UNB.
The fire broke out around 1:36 am and spread soon, he added.
On information, 21 firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 3 am.
However, the origin of the fire could not be known yet, the official said.
