Munshiganj: A school teacher was killed as a speeding covered-van knocked him down from his motorcycle at Jamaldi bus stand on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Munshiganj’s Gazaria on Friday morning.

Sub-inspector Kamruzzaman of Bhoberchar police camp said the motorcycle rider Jibon Prodhan, 45, was a teacher of Karima Kha Osdar Academy, reported UNB.

A speeding covered van, which was heading towards Dhaka, hit his motorcycle leaving him dead on the spot.

Police recovered the body of the school teacher and seized the killer covered-van, the SI added.
