Habiganj: A man was killed allegedly by his sons at Dariapur village in Sadar upazila on Thursday afternoon over the share of money received from selling property.

The deceased was identified as Kitab Ali, son of late Mozaffar Ali of the village, reported UNB.

Victim’s family members said Kitab Ali sold land worth Tk 3 crore few months back.

His sons—Jewel and Alamin - demanded the share of money from their father which led to a dispute between them.

On Thursday afternoon, it was said that Kitab died of cardiac arrest.

However, marks of injury were found on the body while the corpse was being given a bath. Later, locals informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Officer-in-charge of Habiganj Sadar Police Station Mohammad Nazim Uddin said they arrested victim’s younger son Alamin in connection with the incident.
