Jessore: A physically challenged girl was raped by a group of young men at Mobarakkathi village in Sadar upazila on Friday night.

Illas Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, said Kawsar, Rashed Ahmed, and Russell Hossain, all residents of Mobarakkathi village, allegedly grabbed the girl when she came out of the house to respond to call of nature at about 12:30am.

They dragged the girl into a nearby brickfield and rapped her there by turn in deep dark.

Locals rescued the victim after hearing her screams and sent her to Jessore Medical College Hospital.

Father of the victim lodged a case with Kotwali police station accusing the three young men.
