Gaibandha: A school boy was killed as run over by a truck at Gobindaganj in Gaibandha on Tuesday morning.

The deceased is Shuman, 13, a class IX student of Bishubari Dimukhi High School at Gabindaganj upazila.

The local people said that a Bagura-bound truck run over Shuman while he was going to school by a cycle and left his dead on the spot at about 9:30am.

Gabindaganj Highway police officer-in-charge Masud Parvez said the driver managed to leave the spot immediately after the accident.

Police seized the truck from the spot.
