Dhaka: A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) recovered 48 gold bars worth Tk 7.96 lakh from a garbage basket at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Saturday.

Tipped off, a team of CIID recovered the gold bars weighing 15.738kg from nine packets wrapped with scotch tape near a washroom around 1:30am, said Director General CIID Dr. Shahidul Islam, reports the UNB.
