Chittagong: A woman was found dead at her residence in Roufabad area under Bayezid thana in Chittagong on Saturday night, reports UNB.

The deceased is Parvin Akhter, 32, wife of Nurul Alam, a Saudi expatriate.

Parvin used to live in ‘Joynab Bhaban’ in the area along with her son.

Victim’s nephew Mamun found Parvin unconscious at her residence at about 10:30pm.

Later Mamun took Parvin to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead, said Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Bayezid Police Station.

Police also detained Mamun for interrogation.
