Gopalganj: A youth was chopped to death allegedly by some miscreants at Kanuria village under Maksudpur upazila of the district last night. The deceased was identified as Kayum Sheikh, 27, son of late Aiyub Ali Sheikh, a resident of the same area.

Police said a group of miscreants chopped Kayum to death near his house of the area last night over previous enmity, reported BSS.

Police recovered the body this morning and sent it to hospital morgue, said Gias Uddin, in-charge of Shindiaghat police camp.

Police arrested Sentu Sheikh, 25, Chunnu Sheikh, 45 in this connection for interrogation.
