Chattogram: A man was stabbed to death reportedly by his drug addict son at Kazir Deuri area in the city early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ranjan Barua, 52, son of Samiran Prasad Barua, reports the UNB.

Kamruzzaman, inspector (investigation) of Kotwali Police Station, said that Ranjan’s son Robin Barua, who was drug addict, used to quarrel with his father for money and family affairs.

At one stage of altercation around 6 am, Robin stabbed his father, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, police arrested Robin.

Locals said Robin’s mother died four years ago and then his father got married for second time. 

Ranjan’s another son Sanjay Barua filed a case with Kotwali Police Station.
