Rangpur: Police found the body of a young man, in his mid-twenties, at a bamboo cluster at Golabdigoach village at Bhajanpur of Tentulia in Panchagarh on Monday.

Victim Abbas Ali, 25, son of Tabibar Rahman of Shanti Nagar village in the same upazila, was a tractor driver.

Police said Tabibar Rahman had been missing since Sunday night.

Villagers first saw the body and called the police.

Police from Tentulia police station went to the spot, recovered the body and handed it over his relatives after a post-mortem at Panchagarh hospital morgue on Monday afternoon.

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge of Tentulia police Saresh Chandra primarily suspected that it might be a planned murder.

Victim’s father Tabibar Rahman filed a case.
