Nursat Murder: AL leader Ruhul Amin remanded
Feni: A court here on Saturday placed Sonagazi upazila unit Awami League President Ruhul Amin for a five-day remand over his involvement in madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Shoraf Uddin Ahmed passed the order while Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) produced him before the court demanding seven-day remand, reports the UNB.
Police detained Ruhul Amin from his house in Takia road of the municipality on Friday afternoon and later he was shown arrested in Nusrat Jahan Rafi murder case.
Ruhul is also the vice-president of Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa’s governing committee.
Nusrat, a student of Feni’s Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa, was set afire on April 6 allegedly for refusing to withdraw the case against the principal.
She breathed her last five days later at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
