A student of Eden Mohila College allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan.

The deceased was identified as Sayema Kalam Megha, daughter of Abul Kalam Azad, hailing from Jhalokati District and second year student of Social Work Department.

Sources said, Megha and her boyfriend named Mahebe Hasan, 4^th year student of Government Syed Hatem Ali College, locked into an altercation over their marriage. At one stage, Mahebe refused to get married with Megha. That’s why she committed suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan keeping Mahebe in live video call.

On Tuesday, the body of Megha was buried.
