Man accused of torturing children sent to jail
Rajshahi: A Rajshahi court on Tuesday sent a young man to jail in a case filed over the torture of two children in Paba upazila.
Judge of the Additional District and Session’s Judge Court-2 Haidar Ali Khandaker passed the order when Tuhin, 26, surrendered before the court and sought bail, reported UNB.
Plaintiff’s counsel namul Haque said Tuhin, son of Manu of Choubaria village, surrendered before the court at noon.
On February 12, two children, Zahid and Imon, were tortured by a group of people at Choubaria village in Paba upazila on charge of stealing a mobile phone set.
Later, Zahid’s father Imran Ali filed a case against 13 people, including an army and a RAB member, the following day.
