‘Drug dealer’ killed in city ‘gunfight’
Dhaka: A suspected drug dealer was killed in a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in city’s Agargaon area early Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately, the UNB reported.
Sources at RAB headquarters said a team of RAB-2 had asked a group of people to stop at a check-post in Agargaon but the criminals opened fire, triggering a skirmish.
The suspected drug dealer was killed during the gunfight, the sources said.
RAB recovered 500 bottles of phensedyl, a private car and a pistol from the spot.
