Dinajpur: Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a rickshaw van at Bhanga Madrasah in Bochaganj upazila in Dinajpur early on Thursday, reports UNB.

The deceased is Swapan, a resident of Bakultala village, and Uzir Ali, a resident of Purapukur village.

Quoting witnesses, the Bochaganj police officer-in-charge Habibul Hoque said the accident took place when a rickshaw van collided head-on with a truck in Bhanga Madrasah area, leaving Samad and van rider Swapan dead on the spot.

The driver and helper of the truck managed to flee the scene, the OC added.
