Committee to probe Cox’s Bazar air crash
Cox’s Bazar: A three-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the cargo plane crash over the Bay of Bengal in Cox’s Bazar.
The committee, led by Civil Aviation captain Rafiqul Islam, has already started to find out the reason behind the accident.
Cox’s Bazar Airport Manager Shadhan Kumar Mohanta said the committee will complete its enquiry soon and submit report to the authorities.
However, Bangladesh Navy and Coast Guard members are still working at the accident spot to recover the rubbles of the crushed aircraft.
Earlier, on 9 March, three persons, including the pilot of a private cargo aircraft were killed as it crashed in Cox’s Bazar, around 302km south-east of Dhaka, with four people on board.
Flight crew engineer Kulish Nolrik, who was rescued immediately after the accident, was transferred from Chittagong Medical College Hospital from Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital as his condition deteriorated on 9 March night.
