Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested two alleged gunrunners along with a foreign pistol from Dhaka’s Kalyanpur area on Friday.

The arrested persons are Nur Islam, 32, and Jahangir Alam, 27.

Tipped off, a RAB-2 team conducted a drive at Deen Kindergarten crossing at around 11:00 and arrested the duo, reported UNB.

The elite force recovered the pistol along with an empty magazine, said Major Ataur of the RAB battalion.

During preliminary interrogation, the detained persons revealed that they had long been involved in illegal arms trading.
