Dhaka: In a latest reshuffle in the civil administration on Monday, the government transferred four secretaries, including Civil Aviation and Tourism secretary Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, to new offices.

A circular issued by the Public Administration Ministry said SM Golam Faruk, member of the Planning Commission, has been made Civil Aviation and Tourism secretary while Civil Aviation and Tourism secretary Khorshed Alam Chowdhury made member of the Planning Commission.

Besides, some other top government officials were transferred and given promotions.

According to the circular, Mohammad Shahid Ullah Khandaker, secretary for the Textile and Jute Ministry has been transferred to the Housing and Public Works Ministry while MA Quader Sarkar, secretary for Rural Development and Co-operatives Division made secretary of Textile and Jute Ministry.

Meanwhile, Dr. Prasanto Kumar Roy, project director of ‘One House One Farm’ project has been made acting secretary of Rural Development and Co-operatives Division and Mohammad Zillur Rahman, divisional commissioner of Dhaka division has been made the acting member of Privatization Commission.
