Comilla: A young man was beaten to death by an angry mob over theft charges at Dherera village of Chandina upazila early Friday.

Rasul Ahmed Nizami, officer-in-charge of Chandina Police Station, said on information, police recovered the body of Shah Alam, 25, son of Shahid Ullah of the village, according to a UNB report.

Moni Akhter, victim’s wife, said Shah Alam went out of the house early in the morning.

After sometime, neighbours informed her that that some people beating her husband mercilessly at the house of Bashar Miah in the village.

When Moni reached the spot, she found several people beating her husband that left him dead.
