No Bangladeshi among 600 rescued migrants by Libya: Official
Dhaka: There was no Bangladesh national among nearly 600 migrants rescued by Libyan coastguards on Saturday, said an official on Sunday.
‘There was no Bangladesh national among the rescued migrants,’ ASM Ashraful Islam, Counselor (Labour) at Bangladesh Embassy in Libya told United News of Bangladesh.
Quoting foreign media, a number of local media on Sunday reported that Libyan authorities rescued the migrants from four boats, one of which sank, and migrants from Bangladesh and sub-Saharan African countries were among the rescued ones.
