Two college students killed in Jessore road crash

Benapole: Two college students were killed as a bus hit their motorcycle at Panchbaria Amtala on the Jessore-Magura Highway in Jessore on Tuesday noon.
The deceased persons are Miraz Hossain, 22, son of Mizanur Rahman of Bahadurpur village, and Shanta Khatun, 20, daughter of Shahar Ali of Mashihati village of Jhenidah, reported UNB.
Miraz was a student of Muslim Aid, a private technical educational institution, and Shanta was a student of Jessore Govt City College.
Kotwali police officer-in-charge Ilias Hossain said Miraz and Shanta were riding a motorcycle when the bus hit them at Panchbaria Amtala leaving them critically injured. They were reportedly going to Khajura.
Pedestrians took them to Jessore 250-bed General Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead.
There was, however, no report about detaining the bus driver or case filing was immediately available.
