3 hurt while ‘making bombs’ in Munshiganj
Munshiganj: At least three people were injured in a blast while ‘making crude bombs’ at Choto Mollakandi village of Sadar upazila in Munshiganj on Thursday night,
The injured are Quader, 36, Mohammad Jewel, 30, and Mohammad Siraj, 30.
Munshiganj sadar police sub-inspector (SI) Nurul Kader and SI Shaikat said the blast has taken place at about 11:00pm while three of the injured were making crude bombs at an abandoned tin shade house at the village. The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH emergency unit resident medical surgeon Riaz Morshed told NTV Online the injured went through surgeries on Friday morning and are undergoing treatment under police surveillance.
Munshiganj police superintendent Biplob Bijoy Talukder told NTV Online it has been suspected primarily that the blast has taken place while the injured were making bombs.
