Dhaka: Police arrested the editorial admin of Basherkella, a facebook page run by Jamaat-Shibir, from Comilla district.

The arrestee is KM Ziauddin Fahad, also Islami Chhatra Shibir convenor.

A Detective Branch team arrested Fahad from a house of Comilla Cadet College residential area on Thursday afternoon.

Police also seized a laptop and two mobile phones from Fahad.

Facebook page Basherkella is allegedly being used to spread instigating comments and incite Jamaat and Shibir followers to pro-actively participate in violent activities against police and government.

The Jamaat-Shibir men are circulating their activities through the facebook page Basherkella.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner (media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the arrest.
