Sirajganj: A court in Sirajganj on Thursday convicted a man and sentenced him to life term imprisonment for killing his wife in 2011, reports UNB.

Sirajganj District and Sessions Judge Jafrol Hasan also fined Al Amin, 40, son of Joynal in Kazipur upazila, Tk10,000, in default, to suffer six months more of jail.

According to the prosecution, Al Amin beat his wife Farida Khatun, 30, to death over a family feud on 8 May 2011.

Khoka Sheikh, father of Farida, filed a murder case.
