Chuadanga: Police arrested a rape case accused along with a shutter gun and a bullet from Kaliarbakari village of Damurhuda upazila early Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Delwar Hossain Dulu, 30, son of Abdul Kuddus of the village.

Being tipped off, police conducted a drive at the house of Delwar in the early hours and arrested him, said officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Police Station Liakat Hossain.

He said Delwar is a charge-sheeted accused in a case filed in connection with the gang rape of a housewife on December 26 last year.
