2 teenagers stabbed to death in B’baria, Jessore
Dhaka: In separate incidents, two teenagers were stabbed to death in Brahmanbaria and Jessore on Sunday night.
In Brahmanbaria, Shuva, 17, was killed allegedly by some of his friends at Kurulia Khalpar in the district town.
Officer-in-charge of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Mainur Rahman said Shuva locked into an altercation with his friends in the evening.
At one stage, his friends stabbed him indiscriminately at about 8:00pm, leaving him injured.
He was taken to a local hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.
In Jessore, Jin Tarafdar, 19, son of Azam Tarafdar of Raipara in the district town, was chopped to death by a drug peddler in the evening.
Kotwali Police Station OC M Ilias said Baby, a notorious drug peddler of the area, was selling drugs in Raipara in the evening. Jin obstructed Baby from selling the drugs.
Angered, Baby hacked Jin with a sharp weapon around 7:30pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
