5 JMB men jailed for life in Natore

Natore : A Natore tribunal on Monday sentenced five members of Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to life imprisonment in connection with the 17 August series bomb attack, reports local news agency.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Prodip Kumar Ray handed down the verdict.
The convicts are Abdur Rashid, Sihab Uddin, Delwar Hossain, Hafizur Rahman and Abdul Matin.
The court acquitted two other accused—Shahidullah alias Faruk and Shafiullah alias Tarique—of the charges.
Earlier, several bombs went off in eight areas of the district town, including court premises, on 17 August, 2005 as part of JMB’s series bomb blasts in 63 districts of the country.
