Five Premier University students to be quizzed for 3 days
Chittagong: A Chittagong court on Wednesday granted three-day quizzing of the five detained students of Premier University in a murder case, reports UNB.
The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Farid Alam granted the three-day remand to each after the investigation officer prayed for a 10-day remand in a murder case filed against some 38 people in connection with the killing its students in a clash between two groups of students on the campus on
Tuesday the arrested persons are Ashraful Islam, 23, Wahidduzzaman Nishan, 21, Ziual Haider Chowdhury, 22, SM Golam Mostafa, 22 and Tamim ul-Alam, 24.
Victim’s father retired army sergeant Abu Taher, filed the case against 13 Bangladesh Chhatra League activists and 25 unidentified persons with Chawkbazar thana on Tuesday night, said Aziz Ahmed, officer-in-charge of the police station.
Nasirm, 22, a student of Premier University was killed and two others were injured in a clash between two factions of students at the university campus on Tuesday.
The authority of the Premier University, a Private University which runs by the Chittagong City Corporation closed sine die following the clash.
