Comilla: Police arrested 16 people, all outsiders, along with 20 crude bombs from a house adjacent to a polling centre in Adra union of Barura upazila on Thursday morning.

The Muradnagar police officer-in-charge Mizanur Rahman said tipped off, a team of police conducted a raid on the house of Najimuddin, uncle of AL-nominated chairman candidate Manjur Hossain Majumder, beside Perpeti polling centre and arrested 16 people at about 10:00am.

The law enforcers also recovered 20 crude bombs after searching the house.
