Dhaka: Customs officials arrested a man carrying 1.605 kilogram of gold worth Tk 80.25lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday night.

The arrestee is MH Shibly, believed to be in his forty, who landed at the airport at about 9:55pm from a Tiger Airlines flight that came from Singapore, reports UNB.

Assistant commissioner (customs) of the airport Shahiduzzaman said they challenged Shibly while he was crossing the green channel and recovered 15 gold bars, weighing 100gram each, and 15 gold chains after searching his body.
