Mymansingh: Detectives recovered a union council member, who was abducted on 31 March, from a house in Mymensingh city in the early hours of Wednesday.

Dulal, member of Dhanikhali union council in Trishal, was abducted on 31 March. The abductors also demanded Tk 15lakh ransom from his family.

Dulal’s family paid Tk 3lakh ransom for his release.

DB discovered the hide out of the kidnappers as they called Dulal’s relative for rest of the amount.

Later, police launched a drive at the house in Maskanda Amirabari housing area of Trishal upazila and recovred Dulal.

The detective branch members also held three kidnappers, including a woman, from the spot.

The detainees are Abdur Razzak, of Shariatpur, Mofizul Islam, and Aleya Begum.

Police also seized four mobile phone sets, and some SIM cards used for the kidnapping.
