Natore: A fire broke out at a government-run library in Uttar Patuapara area of Natore on Sunday morning.

Police and fire service sources said the fire erupted in a room of the library building in the area and it soon engulfed the entire building in the morning.

On information, a fire-fighting unit rushed in and doused the blaze.

Several books of the library and important documents were gutted by the blaze.

Sadar fire service station officer Abdur Rauf said the fire might have originated from an electric shot circuit.
