Barisal: A businessman died falling from the third floor of the Barisal Club guesthouse in the city on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 40, a resident of Garulia village in Bakerganj upazila, reported UNB.

Kotwali Model Police officer-in-charge Sakhawat Hossain said Rafiqul fell from the third floor balcony of the guesthouse at about 5:00am as there was no railing of the veranda, leaving him injured.

He was taken to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
