Rangpur: Police recovered a young man’s dead body stuffed a bag in Chatra area of Rangpur’s Pirganj on Friday.

The deceased young man was identified as Yusuf Ali, 32, son of Idris Ali of village Shahorgachhi under Chatra union under the same upazila.

Quoting father Yusuf Ali and wife Mitu of the victim, Pirganj police officer-in-charge (OC) Rezaul Karim told BSS that Yusuf had been missing since Thursday night.

Local villagers first reported Mithapukur police about the body which police recovered and later conducted inquest report.

‘We will hand over the body to his relatives after conducting its autopsy at Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue tomorrow (Saturday),’ the OC said.

However, report of filing any case was not immediately available.
