Fakhrul, Rizvi, Mosaddak denied bail again

Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected separate bail pleas submitted by BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, party's joint secretary general Rizvi Ahmed and BNP chairperson's adviser Mosaddak Ali Falu.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge Imrul Kayes passed the order denying bail to the three, accused in five cases including for vandalizing vehicles, carrying out subversive acts and arson.
Of the cases, two were filed against Fakhrul with Motijheel and Paltan police stations, two against Rizvi with Jatrabari and one against Falu with Mirpur police station.
Advocate Joynul Abedin Mesbah moved for the bail pleas before the court on Sunday.
Earlier, Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court denied them bail in the cases. Police arrested Fakhrul Islam on 6 January, Rizvi Ahmed on 30 January and Mosaddak Ali on 1 February.
