Mymensingh: Detectives arrested four members of the banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Dapunia area in Sadar upazila foiling their alleged plan to carry out sabotage ahead of Pahela Baishakh early on Wednesday, reports UNB.

Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately.

The Mymensingh Detective Branch officer-in-charge Imarat Hossain Gazi said tipped off; a team of DB police conducted a drive in the area and arrested the four JMB men in the dead of night.

They were taking preparation for sabotage ahead of Pahela Baishakh, the OC added.

Details of the drive will be disclosed at a press briefing later.
