2 killed in ‘gunfight’ with RAB

Chittagong: Two people were killed during a reported gunfight with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Mirsarai in Chittagong early on Monday.
The deceased are Yakub Ali, and Kamrul Hassan.
Chittagong RAB-8 media officer assistant superintend of police Amir via a text message said the gunfight occurred at about 4:00am at Muhuri project.
The text message read, the deceased, Yakub and Kamrul, was involved in a robbery at a jewellery shop in Baroiarhat area of Mirsarai on 28 February.
Being informed, a team of RAB-8 conducted a drive at Muhuri police station area and tangled in a gunfight with the robber gang, which left two of the robbers dead.
RAB also seized four pistol, three guns, a shooter gun, bullets, sharp weapons, and looted objects, reports the text message.
